Who we are
This policy is issued by Neuron Innovations Ltd (“Neuron”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 12255525.
Registered office: 71–75 Shelton Street, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
We are the data controller for personal information we collect through neuron.world, our Facebook and Instagram pages, and our Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertisements and Instant Forms.
We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) under registration number ZB882927. Our Data Protection Officer is Alejandro Canca Mancera. You can contact us about privacy at contact@neuron.world.
4DSKY is a related aviation network we operate. Where this policy refers to hosting a sensor, that work may be carried out by Neuron and/or 4DSKY.
What this policy covers
This policy explains how we collect, use and share personal information when you:
- use neuron.world, including when you request a call or demo;
- see or interact with our ads on Facebook, Instagram or other Meta technologies;
- apply through a Meta Instant Form to host a sensor at your property;
- become a shortlisted or contracted sensor host.
It also explains your rights and how to contact us.
Information we collect
Website enquiries
If you request a call or otherwise contact us through this website, we collect the details you choose to send. That typically includes your name, work email address, organisation, role, country, optional phone number, area of interest and the content of your message.
Meta advertisements and Instant Forms
When you apply through a Facebook or Instagram Instant Form (including our Northumberland sensor-host campaign), Meta may pre-fill some fields from your profile. We receive the information you submit, which typically includes:
- full name;
- email address;
- phone number;
- property postcode;
- whether you own the property, or are renting;
- whether the property has mains power and home broadband;
- the date and time of your application, and which ad or form you used.
Meta also processes information about how our ads are delivered and measured (for example impressions, clicks and form opens) under Meta’s own terms and data policy.
We do not ask Instant Form applicants for payment-card details, government ID, health information, or other special-category data. Please do not send those in the form.
Hosting applications, site visits and agreements
If we shortlist your property we may also collect:
- your full address and preferred visit times;
- notes from a short site visit (roof, loft or outbuilding, access, power, broadband and sky view);
- photographs of the mounting location, taken only to plan and record the install;
- hosting-agreement details;
- bank or payment details, so we can pay the agreed hosting fee;
- wifi network name and password, used only to connect the sensor at install.
Wifi passwords are temporary install credentials. We do not keep them once the unit is connected, except where we still need them to finish that install.
We do not use site-visit photographs in advertising unless you give separate, specific permission.
Website technical information
When you visit this website our servers and hosting platform may record technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed and the date and time of the visit. We use this to operate, secure and diagnose the site.
This website does not currently use the Meta Pixel or other advertising cookies.
How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- respond to website and email enquiries;
- review Instant Form applications and decide which properties to shortlist;
- contact you by email, phone or message about your application, a site visit or a hosting agreement;
- install, operate, maintain and, if needed, remove a sensor;
- pay hosts the agreed monthly fee and keep financial records;
- run, measure and improve our Facebook and Instagram advertising;
- keep the website secure and investigate misuse;
- comply with the law and defend legal claims.
We do not sell personal information.
We will not use Instant Form details for unrelated marketing (for example a general newsletter) unless you separately agree to that.
Lawful bases
Under the UK GDPR we rely on these lawful bases:
- Steps before a contract / performance of a contract — assessing a hosting application, arranging a visit, installing a sensor and paying you if you become a host.
- Legitimate interests — responding to business enquiries, keeping the website secure, and understanding which ads brought in applications, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Consent — where you submit an Instant Form after being shown our privacy link; where we use optional marketing messages; and, if we later add advertising cookies on this website, before those cookies run.
- Legal obligation — tax, accounting and other records we are required to keep.
You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing contact@neuron.world. Withdrawal does not affect use that is already lawful, or use we still need for a contract or a legal duty.
Facebook, Instagram and Meta
Our sensor-host campaign uses Meta Lead Ads with Instant Forms. When you submit a form:
- you share that information with Meta and with us;
- Meta provides the lead to us so we can contact you about hosting;
- Meta uses lead-ad information in line with the Meta Privacy Policy and the Lead Ads Terms.
For the collection of Instant Form leads, Neuron and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited are joint controllers under data-protection law. In outline:
- Meta decides how Instant Forms work on Facebook and Instagram, stores the lead for a limited period and delivers it to us;
- Neuron decides what questions to ask, downloads or receives the lead, and decides how to assess and contact applicants;
- you can exercise your rights with Neuron using the contact details below, or with Meta using Meta’s tools and privacy policy.
We may also use Meta’s advertising tools to show our ads to people in the target area, measure delivery, and (if we later configure it) build similar audiences. We do not currently send website events to Meta because this site does not run the Meta Pixel.
Who we share information with
We share personal information only where needed:
- Meta Platforms — to run ads and Instant Forms, as described above.
- 4DSKY and people working on the hosting programme — so we can assess sites, book visits and operate sensors. This includes our installer and colleagues who shortlist properties.
- Service providers — for example email, document storage, payment providers and website hosting, who process information on our instructions.
- Professional advisers and authorities — where we must or where it is necessary to protect our rights, users or the public.
We do not share Instant Form leads with unrelated third parties for their own marketing.
International transfers
Some of our providers, including Meta, may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens we use a lawful transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum / Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as we need it:
- Website enquiries — usually up to 24 months after the last contact, unless a live commercial discussion continues.
- Unsuccessful hosting applicants — usually up to 12 months after the campaign ends, so we can complete shortlisting and answer follow-up questions. We then delete or anonymise the lead.
- Shortlisted or contracted hosts — for the life of the agreement and then as long as we must keep financial and legal records (typically up to 7 years after the last payment).
- Wifi passwords — only until the sensor is connected.
- Meta-held Instant Form data — Meta also expires undownloaded leads after a limited period on its side. We download leads we need into our own records.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website uses strictly necessary cookies or similar storage to make the site work (for example to keep a page session stable).
We do not currently set advertising or social-media cookies, and we do not currently run the Meta Pixel on neuron.world.
If we later use advertising cookies (including the Meta Pixel) to measure visits from our ads or to show relevant ads, we will ask for your consent first, except where the law allows a strictly necessary cookie. You will be able to accept or reject those cookies, and to change your mind later.
You can also control cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.
Meta provides ad-preference and cookie controls in your Facebook or Instagram settings, and at facebook.com/privacy/policies/cookies.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may ask us to restrict or object to certain processing, or to provide a copy of information you gave us in a portable form.
To do that, email contact@neuron.world. We may need to confirm your identity before we act.

Children
Our website, ads and hosting programme are aimed at adults. We do not knowingly collect Instant Form leads from anyone under 18, and our ads are not targeted at minors.
Sensitive information
Please do not submit classified, export-controlled or operationally sensitive information through this website or through an Instant Form.
Changes to this policy
If we change our privacy practices we will update this page and change the effective date above. If a change is material we will take additional steps to tell you, where the law requires it.
